after driving for... 16 hours or so, i am finally in Michigan. finally. i am here visiting one of my best friends, Laura. it's her fault i snort when i laugh... i am so, so incredibly glad to be here. i think if we didn't have fall break i would be going crazy right now.
today we went to church (which was amazing... it was ALIVE!!!), and then to His House, an MSU campus ministry. we had ice cream and watched part of What Dreams May Come. after the worldview class that i have had, i can no longer just watch a movie. every statement, every movement communicates a worldview. i never realized it before now. as of right now, i am watching Where the Heart Is. both of these had distinct worldviews, but i never would have noticed them without having to study these things at school. i love that i can see it! it brings another dimension to watching movies.
the rest of this week, i am Laura's shadow. i love that i am getting to see all of the places and people that she tells me about. her campus is huge; the building complex area is larger than the city my school resides in. i am looking forward to relaxing and just... being. retreat is next weekend, and i am excited, extremely excited to have some quality God time and fellowship with other students that love Him. mm mm mm; it's gonna be good! not to mention, i get to see Laura!!!
